Planted a few test trees to see how Ed's height recommendations would look on the layout.  These are about 80 scale feet tall, early spring.

They do make the rockwork look better.

Just runnin' trains here.

I really need to find a few spare hours to do some work on the layout. Tough when today was only my second day off in three weeks.

Pure Pennsy hawtness, Eric!  I can almost see Kittanning Point behind the E6...

Only doing a little painting touch up on the roundhouse. Spending time playing inside hostler while taking a construction break.

I FINALLY was able to get my trains moved into my "new" house, so for now I got an oval of unitrack on a folding table, letting my foobie NP LT Mt. run in circles dragging about 20 boxcars with it.  :D

So I finished these two bad boys this week.   ;)

Still more work to get through on the bench.  Progress is being made on another set 6 SD70M's for the GDRMCo (Leggy's stuff).  Lot's of work on those bad boys, but progress is getting there.  These are easy compared to those....  :P

Excellent shot!!  Composition, color balance, and subject (I like D&H Alcos) are all top notch.

I know we have all seen these and probably have them, but I finally got mine from Karen and they are absolutely great.  Well done Dave and Karen!

The detail is fantastic and will be great in the little garage scene that I am doing up.

Not much for me.  Stopped by the LHS and got a couple of decoders.  Had my 8 year old son with me and he asked about getting a car for his set.  He has HO Thomas trains and I've been wanting to get him a "real" train set, so I got him a HO Athearn blue box engine, 3 freight cars and caboose.  Now I have to get a slightly bigger board for under his bed and a switch or two to have a place for the cars to go.

We're just south of the Bealville crossovers.  I've got a project going here, building a ranch.  No particular prototype.  Here 'tis before I began:

And here we are with the basic terraforming done and structures in place:

Here's a slightly different view.   There is a ton of detail to be added and things on the railroad are slow for a variety of reasons, not least of which is the arrival of spring in Middle Tennessee and the concomitant yard work.

Gotta agree. That's a beautiful shot. Trees look great.
