OK, so we're having a little fun with our latest announcement - per the usual.

Returning early in 2014, our N Scale Trinity 3-Unit 53' Spine Cars in six unique road numbers.  These models will feature pre-assembled hitches, re-designed 33" metal wheels with front and back profile, and a plethora of details.

Good to see more spines.

I'm curious to know more about the wheel re-design.  What aspect is changing?  Is this now a 3rd design?   (FWIW, I was happy with the first design and wonder if those will remain available.)

The wheels are only the second design; however, I'm trying to emphasize the fact that the market asked and we listened.  The only difference is a very slight increase in flange depth and wheel tread.  To the naked eye, you probably won't see much of a difference, but the tracking should improve on rough track.

Could we have exact numbers on the flange depth and tread width, before and after?

No pressing need to know, but I am curious.

In the back of my mind I'm thinking to replace all my first generation BLMA wheels with the newer.  This is kind of a preemtive move as for the most part everything I have works well - usually.  But every now and then SOMETHING will go haywire and it's usually a BLMA wheelset involved.  Don't know why this should be, I think train dynamics may play a part because it's totally random and as I said it doesn't happen at all often.  But it does happen.

Regarding the new wheels, I have tried them out and they track better with no derailments on my layout.

Would like to see a .553 version for Atlas trucks.

Horrors
of TiVoTrack means that I remain interested in replacement wheelsets for two five spine and two three spine sets.  Even with Unitrak I am simply not blessed with the tracklaying gene.  The derailments and tracking issues of these must be chalked up to sunspots, moonbeams or poltergeists.  Never in the same place repeatedly to the point of pending insanity on my part.  Problems are seemingly random, but remain quite annoying...

+2 - these are wonderful cars - some of the best yet - and when loaded are perfect performers.  I am glad for the wheel changes
though, because when empty they almost fell off the rails when not moving.

No criticism intended - just plain wonderful models - and glad to see them improved!!!

The cars look awesome, as always Craig . . . and I get a kick out of the humor in your advertizing.  Also, glad you're including hot women too, the antithesis of that weird looking Trainman guy that other company uses from time to time.

+ 3 ( or maybe more ) for the difficulty of keeping them on the top of the rails ...
There is so many fragile small details on these beautifull cars that I am thinking of dipping them in "Crazy Glue" to keep all the details at the right places ...
