I remember, at some point, seeing some interior kits for DPM buildings.

I'm doing a pair of them for my onetrak module, and I'm hoping to find some details.

I'm also curious to see what the a$$hat brigade has done.

It's going to be on a Onetrak module, so I don't want to go too nuts (since they won't live pampered lives), but I am looking for some inspiration on how to make em look a little better than out of the box.

I vaguely remember the same kits, but never bought one, and can never remember the name when I'm prowling evil Bay.

I have precisely 1 DPM building left from prior layouts - I have it sort of set up as a model train shop, to serve as a memorial to the two train stores I grew up in.  It doesn't have an interior on the bottom, but I do have a couple of railfans on the rook on a custom fabricated platform.  I will be incorporating into my present layout later in the summer somewhere, even though it's architecturally inappropriate for norther East Baton Rouge Parish.

depending on the location and use, a couple of Noch Sexy Scenes figure groupings might be fun . . . .

Tobias Locomotive Works if I recall correctly was a producer of DPM interiors at one time.

Bryan's right.

It was Tobias.  It looks like they produced some cool stuff too:

Interiors and alternate roof kits.  Too bad they are out of business.  Sigh.

These folks also have interiors... http://www.lcoriginals.com/mrindex.html

Ahh, those were the guys, Tobias.

Anyone happen to be sitting on an interior for Bruce's Bakery or Cricket's Saloon?

I saw those interiors, and just made my own. It's not terribly difficult. The level of detail required depends on the glazing used. Thick glazing = less detail needed.

The level of detail on this was entirely adequate for me:

For display windows, I just downloaded old catalog images, build a quick display box, and pasted them on the back.

This type of product could be a natural in the evolution of offerings from NZT/Stonebridge.

I remember seeing some DPM interiors on Shapeways, not sure if they're still up, though.

I also wish that Tobias was still in business. But as it has been said, one can scratchbuild the interior.

I have some of the Tobias DPM interiors.  They are excellent castings if you can find them, but they are attached to a very thick base that must be sanded off.  I used a 6 inch belt sander, but this generates a lot of heat and can make the castings soft if you are not careful.  I think this is one of the reasons they were not very popular.  I couldn't imagine trying to sand them all by hand...

Have you considered sawing them off?  Band saw would probably be ideal for this.

I think they are not thick enough for bandsawing. As I remember they are about .080" (2 mm) thick, and should be perhaps half that.

Attempt to model café from my hometown; DPM 2 story reduced to 1 story.  Paneling and wainscoting added.

These Tobias Locomotive interiors for n-scale DPM buildings are very nice; it is a shame that he did not continue his business.
I purchased several interiors and have used some, but not in the kits for which they were intended.
The roof elements were also excellent; I used the roofs on structures, but interiors on other DPM kits.
