I`d love to have them build me some huge Beaux-Arts style station :D but unless I win the lotto I don`t see that happening! :(

I built Worcester Union station years ago. Though it was nothing on this scale, it gave me a new appreciation for building structures. These guys also sell kits right? I may need to get a few after seeing this.

yes
kits are available via internet...   start with one of their inexpensive kits... put it together to get familiar with their kits and work instructions... then tackle the other ones...

although i havent put one together myself (yet) i have heard from others they aren't as daunting as they appear to be (which has to count for somethign right?).

i hope to put one or 2 together this year.... when i find the time.

Hope this helps.

Daniel-- I have built a number of the CMR kits and they are awesome though nothing of the grand scale of Milwaukee City Hall.  The only technique I had to master was using a pipette style applicator to dispense Tenax after the parts were aligned.  They are NOT easy to separate once bonded.  The detail in the engraving is what make these structures stand out.  I have mostly used Tamiya spray cans which gives a very thin coat which does not hide any of the details.

The last photo was taken before I removed my G guage shelf layout which was above the N scale layout.  The ugly brown brackets are now gone!
Best regards,

Roger
