Not the greatest shot as I barely had time to grab my camera out of the car after filling the gas tank, however I think the lashup is interesting;

Happy New Year everyone.

The composition and metaphor would have been better with 2012 and 2013 units in those shots, respectively.  :ashat:

Lenny- are those units on the Kingston Sub?  I never see those anymore- I obviously need to get out more!

C'mon, Bob!  That's a picture of 2010, not 2012.   :trollface:

Yeah Dave.  It would have been great to have 2013.  Since it was New Years eve I would have made a comment about it trying to get to the new year on time.

Well, it's not recent, but, back in October of 2007, I caught 2012 and 2013 in Perryville, Maryland as part of the same trainset:

Hello . . .

. . . and goodbye!

Dave, it works for me. And kudos for remembering you had the shot.

The train was Eastbound through Milton.

And from high-speed passenger service to the other end of the spectrum.  Taken last Thursday in Northumberland PA.

To continue the switcher theme, I got some shots of the switcher on New Year's with a better camera than my phone...too bad the white balance was goosy  :facepalm:

I haven't had my own computer for a few days so I haven't been able to upload any good quality pictures but I did get a quick cellphone grab shot of the Pan Am local showing up the other night. It's nice to be able to observe the local rail ops without having to get out of bed! I lucked out in getting a trackside window.

if you can't conduct yourself, conduct freight
