Nate,

I delayed responding over confusion as to where your inbound/outbound tracks were.  Thanks for the clarification!

In designing my new yard, I am mindful that a few of, shall we say, less "aware" operators have knocked over cars, trains, and even brass sanding facilities on my previous layout, with arms, droopy sleeves, etc.  I wanted to avoid that, if possible.  I figure (but who knows) that my longest reach yard will be switched from the other end, and only my foreground yard will get switched from my east end, with a switch lead IN FRONT of the roundhouse.

Then again, maybe I am just trying to be too "idiot proof" in my layout design.  Like you, once I build a nice yard like yours, I hope to enjoy it all!
