Yay!  Juice Train!

That was fun to watch.  I would have even enjoyed a ten-minute version that didn't skip so much of the run.

Featuring the railfans in the early frames was fun. Obviously the word got out about the special train. Robyn was disappointed they skipped Folkston, GA, where there is a railfan park/platform. I suspect there was probably a crowd there waiting for it.

Oh yeah.  I received several e-mails a couple days before this train ran.  I think most of the local railfans got this info.

Yeah, I was disappointed that it skipped Richmond, Virginia, much of the RF&P subdivision, and the Susquehanna River bridge crossing.

Looks like two cameras mounted on the handrail stanchions of the lead unit. I guess one was a backup for the other.    I wonder how many near misses at grade crossings they had to edit out... :scared:

Neat video

Am I the only who found it odd that the speed rarely went above 60, and was usually below 40... Or did they edit the high-speed portions out?

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

Both cameras we running and the video was stiched together in post to give you a "cab view" without the fish eye effect coming into play. There is a second GE video on YT showing you the behind the scenes of making the video. I just wish too that that video was longer...its only like 1 min something as well.

Well, the long open stretches where it can go max speed are probably not as exciting as the areas they chose to show.  But, regardless, freights don't often exceed 60mph for very long stretches.  The train went about 1200 miles in about 30 hours which is still maintaining a healthy average of ~40mph -- that's VERY good by any standard.  At BNSF, even our top Z9s across the country don't break into that 40mph average.  And long coal or ag drags can average just 15mph.
