Yes, here's a couple more shots of Alvin Ho's N scale Rock Island loco, he displayed it at the San Francisco area NMRA Division Meet in March 2012 :





And M.C., thx for asking, yes, I and the wife have safely made the move to Florida.  The model RR is still all in boxes and crate, still working on getting the house in order after being here 2 months.  Thx for asking.

How about some narrow gauge oddities?  The first is another boxcab diesel made from caboose bodies, this one 26 years old.  It's built on a MT Z F unit chassis.

And a more modern road diesel, on more ways than one.  This is an Atlas/Kato RS-3 body, modified, on a MT Z SD40-2 chassis.  The small wheels don't look right, but the truck centers and truck wheelbase are almost exactly the same as the original RS-3.  Besides the newer "prototype", these have been built in the last few years.

This was built back in the 1990s from my father using a Kato ex-Rock Island U30C and the rear of a Atlas U25B..it is still in its white primer coat and may end as Burlington Northern unit...

I've just decided I need to build some of those RS3m's. Even if just for the fabled shortline. (I've had dreams of doing a couple RS3m units in BCR colours, although I assume the PGE modellers would disenfranchise me for such an offense).

As for what I already have, there are the newly acquired MILW Erie-Builts

Leggy:  Is there a prototype for those?  They look a little like some of the Brazilian meter gauge conversions of Conrail and D&RGW locomotives.
