Another one of my children lives one!

Wow Paul.  I almost forgot about that one.
Is that slug powered?

Yes, it is.  If you like I will send you a copy of the "birth certificate" -- which is basically some e-mails we exchanged in which you described how you did it, along with 3 or 4 pix to illustrate.
Regards,
Paul

Here's my GP-8 (It is a real thing for those who are wondering as this engine does have a prototype).

Phase III GP9.

Conrail Olympic SD50

Alaska F7
This unit was used in Palmer by the Mass Central for years.

New Hampshire Northcoast GP9

From the Fail bin, an aborted GP15 years before the Atlas Model came out. This was modified JNJ shell on a LL GP20 chassis.

I used screen sections from an Atlas SD50 for the rear tunnel radiator. The upper fan ducts were etched:

This model went well until I tried making handrails for it. I can't solder, or drill stanchon holes and ruined the model.

The line's NP painted units (GP8 1352 and GP9 1363) are really sharp and contrast greatly with the two painted in RailAmerica red, silver and blue.  Too bad they didn't do all of their units in the NP paint scheme.  Here are some links to the NP painted units...

Here's some of the stuff I used to have  before someone lifted the tackle box with most of my N scale out of my truck a few years ago :(

Trix shell, but on a Life-Like SW1200 chassis

These days, I could do a better job, but considering I was only fifteen when I did this, I don't think I did too terribly bad.

I was hoping to find a photo of my ex-Grace Whitcomb from Randgust kit.  For the life of me, however, I cannot.

The RailAmerica units have been gone for years, after the current owners bought the line. The only Non-NP unit is a BN Green GP10 (ILSX 1345).

Great stuff, guys.

But, this ripped my heart out:
I scratched/bashed UP50 between 2003 and 2006.
I shipped the shell to a highly praised loco painter in California for a paint job and weathering, with a pair of ConCor U50s and a 'parts only' ConCor "Veranda" as payment.
He posted a shot of my shell painted in an SP 'black widow' scheme a couple weeks later, then disappeared.  I never saw any of it again, and the Fresno PD and USPS were far from helpful.

Well i can assure you that this is not your model. I do have good news as this will hopefully be a good master for Superturbine(Jason) to cast and you will have a #50 again!!!

Haven't posted a pic here before, but here goes nothing. The shell is a resin casting of a bash I did eons ago and the paint (as shoddy as it may be) is all mine. Oops, looks like I still haven't posted a pic.....

I'm also trying very hard to make these a lot LESS unusual, kits are going out the door pretty much on a daily basis:

I'm almost caught up to the point where I'll be doing custom builds.

The two original scratchbuilt CF7's (that appeared in RMC way-back-when) are still alive and well and running, now on their third mechanism.

Another project on the go from Gregg Scott's work bench.
Not sure how many people would have a lash up like this on their layout! Pretty unusual.

Here is the A-unit:

And the four unit lashup that makes up Milwaukee E47:

That is one long locomotive!

Now that MILW I'd have a use for.  Even a two unit set would be fine for my needs.  Any chance he's going to offer them for sale?

Thank goodness "real" birth certificates do not contain such information.  :scared:
