The title says it all: What prototype, if any, is the Bachmann 40' stock car modeled after?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.

It's a Varney HO car.

I wouldn't be surprised.  Several early N scale models were copied from HO cars with no known prototype...
