For me, this weekend includes:
-sSending out 2 Atlas code 80 standard line remote turnouts and 8 atlas turnout solenoids.
-Packing for a cruise. (Which leaves port on sunday.)
--Bemoaning the fact that the cruise is causing me to miss the Bedford N Scale Weekend!! ( )

Might sneak into the Greenberg show in Chantilly tomorrow.  Have to pick up the wife's 92 y/o grandmother from Dulles at 1500 so we'll be in the area.
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.

That's the ship we'll be on. And thanks for the wishful words. Hopefully the hurricane doesn't interfere with what should be an interesting vacation (never been on a cruise before). I'll see you in Bedford in 2013.

Bill, outstanding job on the ex-trooper.

Got farther along on the Pennsy GSC flat.  Reassembled and added the wood deck.  I have to paint the coupler screw tips to match the body, age the deck and slightly weather the model.  But assembly-wise it's done, so I can retire my lowered MTL Pennsy flat.

Progress on making a space for the Beer Line.

Today started with the delivery of 25 tons of D-1 aggregate.

Apply 4 hours of Bobcat to make a gravel pad. A good operator could have done a better job in half the time, but it was fun to play with.

Moved my trailer to the new pad. Need to take the axles off and drop the whole thing down onto some RR ties (naturally).  50-amp service coming next week.

Hopefully I can start adding to my Layout thread....it is currently at the bottom of page 3 in that forum! Here is what I have in mind for newcomers or those with attention spans of 3 months or less!

Best wishes, Dave

Woo hoo... I finished another Intermountain 40' reefer kit a few minutes ago. I used to be able to assemble 10 to 15 a day a decade ago. Now, if I can build one a day, I'm doing good.

Hmm... teensy weensy
parts are Kiz's downfall...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Nice.  I did this about five years ago.

I ended up de-stranding wire, cutting it to length, CA'ing it to the underside, and then painting it.  After that project, I said the heck with that.
