Yes, July has obviously come and gone. Two things got in the way of that target: One, I made a big mistake in the drawings of the side walls, so they had to be re-mastered. And, as bad luck would have it, that need coincided with the failure of the laser being used for the project. The laser is being repaired as I write this, so it's looking like the end of August. It may possibly be ready in time for the N Scale Weekend, but don't hold me to it. Because I am also working on another project simultaneously that has the potential of being wildly popular (or I certainly hope so). Imagine a switch machine (a functional one) about the size of a sugar cube. That is all I'll say at this point; let the speculation begin!

Oh, and just to prove the kit isn't vaporware, here's a test-casting, posed with the Z scale version.

Still surprised you didn't just buy your own laser. If Robert or Karen recommend you with their supplier I believe you get a discount and they get a credit. I'm sure they would know more about that then me though.

Still surprised you didn't just buy your own laser.

Reasons I did not buy a laser:

1. I live in a condo with limited space for hardware that size.
2. It would siphon funds away from my coupler project.
3. In order to pay for it, I'd have to become a full-time laser artist, which would leave little time for anything else.
