With the announcement of the Atlas S2, there's nothing that excites me this time around on the Bachmann announcements.

If they do a CN or CP S-4 in a later era scheme, I'll bite on one or two. I have no issues with their 44 or 70T switchers.

That S4 looks really good. While the Atlas may be ahead, I still think the S4 can hold its own. Time will tell.

I was hopeing they would have the coaches from the doodlebugs available separatly this year. The one that came with my B&M doodlebug would make a very good set of commuter coaches behind that 2-6-0.

While I'm on it can anyone show me a photo of an Alco switcher with "P&LE" on the hood?  In 1960 they didn't have it and they were all sold in 1966. I can't find any pics.

Eh... paint schemes are off as always.

The S4 does not appear to be wide. Its hard to tell from the camera angle, but the nose looks very narrow. This would be huge if correct.

The Mogul looks great! I may have to get a B&M unit.

Not sure whats up with the box. There are seperate ladders, body mount knuckle couplers and it comes with and without roofwalks. So far, so good. Then the door sticks out a good foot. And then there are the paint schemes which just seem off. Anyone know what prototype it is suposed to be?

Isn't the photo of the "N-scale" S-4 in the pdf  the same one that is being shown at N Scale Supply as being of a HO model? That might account for the narrow hood width.
Same thing for the 2-6-0. I think it is borderline fraud for a manufacturer to not indicate the scale of the the models shown in their advertisement.

The 2-6-0 is N scale. Those are the same tender trucks they have been using.

anyone else see the HO MOW truck on page 2? I'd like that in N, just don't need it DCC nor able to move on the tracks...stationary model is ok with me

The thing I notice most is that there is no new O scale and no new Spectrum N or HO, only re-runs of the EM-1 in HO. Most everything is standard line. I was really hoping for a re-run of the Heavy Mountains with more C&O's in the batch. The Mogul looks pretty good if people are confusing the N picture for the HO. I wish they would offer that tender seprately but I think that ship has sailed.

The other thing I noticed, in the HO releases, the sound versions of the loco's are different road names than the non sound versions.

I still think there may be some N spectrum in the cue but they didn't get far enough along with it to announce.

The S6 is in N, just look at those wheel flanges and coupler.
