Some of our American members may not be aware of a small model railroading publication,Canadian Railway Modeller, but may be interested to know that the current, May-June 2012, issue has a very nice article on the "Samuel Ridge Subdivision" written by Mike McGrattan (Puddington).  Mike's modelling also made the cover.  It does seem, however, that the editor managed to put one photograph together with the caption for a photo that was not published!

Congratulations, Mike!!

Hey Greg,
Any idea how us south of the border types can get one of these?  I need to add it to my collection of N Scale Modelers I knew When . . .

And Pud, I distinctly remember a lengthy conversation in these parts about getting this published - congrats man, well deserved!

Hi Philip,

The magazine should be available directly from the publisher, North Kildonan Publications - Canadian Railway Modeller, PO Box 35087 RPO Henderson, Winnipeg, MB, Canada R2K 4J9. (Note that RPO, in this case, stands for Retail Postal Outlet not Railway Post Office).  Their website is http://www.cdnrwymod.com and they can be reached by e-mail, crm@cdnrwymod.com, or by telephone: 1- 204 - 668-0168 or by Fax 1 - 204 - 669-9821.  Single copy price is shown as $8.75 in the US.

Cheers,

Puddington

Thanks Greg; oddly enough I have not seen the magazine or cover.....Morgan sent me author's copy by Canada Post, who have routed them via Melborne or Timbuck Too.....sigh !

I was told of the boo boo by Morgan, I wasn't upset; these things happen.

Thanks for the nice comments !
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Yeah, but nothing says CPR in British Columbia like H16-44s and C-Liners.  I kept looking for them in the photograph, as the caption says, but all I could find was Geeps!!  Morgan did redeem himself, however, by publishing three photographs showing MLW power - including the cover!!

Good on you Pud , but not surprised .

On another thought . All winter long you had on problem letting the unwanted by US cool air down below the boarder . Now you're hoarding it .
