well, I was astounded on 118,90$ for a copy of kalmbachs "Building the Burlington Northern in N Scale" book...sometimes I really ask me if they forgot to take their pills regularly  :facepalm:

Well they are LBF, and someone probably mistakenly figures they are "collectable" since that firm is long since out of business . . .but still . . . makes the new Exactrail Hy-cubes look like a bargain, even with their pricing structure.

I have 2 of ER's T-Boxes and they're far superior models then that old tooled LBF car.

I'm not saying the price makes sense... but ExactRail does not make a TBOX, only the shorter FBOX.

Thus, if you really want a TBOX, the old LBF is the only game in town.

It never works that way though...    I watch modern rolling stock and this looks like a "testosterone" related bidding war.  I bet you could get $22-24  per car from them under normal circumstances...
