Interior cement loads for n scale COVERED hoppers?
Has there ever been a dumber idea?  Has anyone bought any?
I don't get it at all?  Who would pay money to stick something
inside a covered model car and care what it look like?

These is even dumber (or as bad) as N SCALE parking lot wheel stops,
which were like 10 strips of square plastic for like 5 bucks..
(anyone remember seeing these)?

Or the MicroTrains boxcar loads consisting of crates, machinery and pipes that could never physically get through the 6' door on the car? (Never mind that the door should be closed and secured if the car is loaded.)

That's just crazy!  But I would definitely spring for grain loads for covered hoppers if it attracted those n-scale pigeons.

Years ago it wasn't unusual to see a loaded boxcar with the door ajar from rough handling.I still see loaded boxcar with the door ajar but,not as often as it was back in the days of rough handling.

Some years back Conrail SEAL (Selkirk-Allentown) was pulling up through Jutland NJ and a boxcar had a gigantic roll of paper hanging halfway out a door, with another right behind it. The thing looked like it weighed a couple of tons and would kill someone if it fell onto them or their car. 

So I called the Conrail police - and reported that Train SEAL through Jutland had boxcar SM39393 (making this up) with a load coming out going westbound. The stupid idiot proceded to demand to know how I knew it was "SEAL" - then said he had no idea where "Jutland" was (99% of people in jutland would not know it's even called jutland, it's a place on the railroad for all I know).  So I said, you know, most people would tell you it's at Perryville, but here I am telling you it's in Jutland which is on your ******** railroad.  Nope - not on my highway maps.  Of course not, moron - it's on the railroad!!

Look, officer, the train is going into the tunnel soon, I suggest you contact the dispatcher.  "Contact the dispatcher??? Tunnel????  how do you know this????"

So I then explained it was near the Jutland Defect Detector - Oh my god - how do you know about defect detectors???? Who are you??? What is this all about????

Well I finally hung up - and figured well - At least I tried....  Rarely if ever bothered to call them again.
