I'm not complaining one bit. I do NOT want to see IMRC take on, screw up, and poison the well with them.

Don't be surprised if it's not someone you approve of. 'Course that doesn;t narrow down the field alot for most people, does it. I do hope whoever gets it out, does it very soon.  My only personal interest is in modern Regionals, like W&LE and IC&E and I'll probably be dead and gone before they get done, but I know the shop can selll a kit and kaboodle full, ESPECIALLY if the do, High Hoods.

Those bulkhead flats look like they could be useful in creating early pulpwood cars... will have to look into this!!!  Thanks IMRC!!!

Doubtless 
there is a need for SD40-2s in many flavours, far beyond the occasional runs of a few Western roads. 

Regionals, leasers, and the rest are prime territory for new and improved models.  Time marches on and everyday new schemes come on line that someone out there wants. 

Age will eventally catch up with them all and they will fall from the scene.  But many modelers still need fleets of quality Nscale SD40-2s from the IPD boxcar era onwards without resorting to strip, detail and paint methods...

Well TiVo, KCs just rebuilt most of their SD40-2 fleet into SD40-3's . . . . I'll need them in three schemes no matter what era I model.

These flatcars will be a nice and needed contrast to the well done Athearn GSC cars.  In regards to the IM flatcars, Intermountain has the built and shop/reweigh dates for the cars listed on their HO page.  Just look up the flatcars on the HO page, choose your flavor and you will see the aforementioned information.  I will be in for the Penn Central's at a minimum from the first round.  Perhaps some New Haven and Erie cars for my 1957 PRR trains.  I hope some Erie Lackawanna's follow in the second round of non-bulkhead cars.  Thanks.
