Have they always had free shipping over $50 if buying from there website? Too bad it only continental USA. Not to Canada . If new is this their way of keeping prices close to what we would get from a discounter with shipping???

Heard a completely different story on Exactrail, from someone who is very connected in the business...

This version is that Chris Clune was running the company into the ground (specifically very high marketing and sales costs) and was thrown out - with the other partner (the software guy) stepping in to save things - and his conclusion from analysis was direct was the only way to do this.

I have no idea, I am just repeating what I was told for you to mull over...

Don't know if what they said is true about Chris. If so, Blaine will take it the rest of the way down. I've heard a different story that did not mention Chris Klune at all. Suffice to say either way all is not well in EXR land.

Unless they do the SOU Waffles....   Although - and this could be regional - I was told they
were a terrible seller.  I find this REALLY hard to believe though, again, it must be a regional thing.
In HO around these parts, there is not much interest I am told in NS, CSX...  Very different for N though.

Lou, the first run sold out in a heart beat, later runs with different doors lasted a little longer. At least for Southern.

Down here, the Southern cars came in the door and then went back out with very little time on the shelves. We like that. NS and CSX lasted a little longer, but I think we're out of NS now.

The first run of the Southern waffles had the wrong numbers..The second run was corrected.

If ER would do the PS waffles I'm good for at least 13..I would buy six in Southern and four in NS and all three short lines (SIND,BR and DME) if these road names was release.

I think there will be a better flow/variety of ExactRail N scale models moving forward even with their direct-sales-only environment, now that the coupler retooling finally has been completed.

From my monthly communication with Blaine about the lack of  N Scale releases I was told they have several new products in the works after the  upgrade.

I hope that PS waffle is one.

That would be great....   BTW, I found another NS boxcar prototype - they own about 200 5344's - which is done by FVM. I posted photo links on FVM's Facebook page....

I also have a few undecs I am thinking of painting into the spartan (report #'s only) scheme....
