Ya so ya might have to repaint the plastic end inserts, but I'll take it... for a pre built 5 car MAXI I set.

I hope they do some earlier schemes. I would like a few in TTX and Trailer Train.

BNSF
does not xactly get me all worked up to run out to place an order.  TTX, Maersk or undec would certainly leave Mr. Wallet comatose...

I'd like to know how anyone's QC process approves this sort of color mismatch as being acceptable. What a pain in the rear to try and fix. It is bad enough on handrails, let alone the whole end of a freight car.

The TTX yellow looks to have the same problem in the email's photos too.

Hopefully Traincat is still willing to consider an etched metal detail upgrade for these cars too, one that incorporates a body mount coupler pocket or platform.

I'm a bit suspicious on the colour green used on the EMP containers.

Unlike TivoP, I'm very pleased the BNSF are finally hitting the water. I have a very vivid memory of watching a set of BNSF Maxi-I bare tables snaking through Tunnels 14-17 on Tehachapi a few years ago, and now I have just the spot to run them.   :lol:

My first thought on seeing the email photos was: time for a detail set.  If Traincat is not interested, let's draw it up ourselves*.  It appears there would be many parts in common between the Maxi-I and IVs.

Was the color mismatch on the BNSF Maxi-IV this bad?  The only set I have has a pretty good match, but I can't for the life of me remember if I painted the ends when I detailed them.



Oh well.

Not sure about EMP, but that green is really close for Hub Group..  :D
