Thanks DKS. I stood on a pile of ties for half an hour hoping they'd be in the right position to get a sunset picture. When the sun got this low in the sky I gave up and had to walk down to the power to get a shot.

Swung by Cumberland and saw the prototype

Then looped over and saw the guys at the WMSRR and saw #501 as we approached the shops

and #734 as she prep's for the Spring season (May 5th is opening weekend) (Note: for those of you concerned, the crew was on break and the shop was empty as we we escorted through by the Shop Supervisor).

then took a peek at the 8404 and 8369 currently being rebuilt (at some point, we will do a RW excursion up the hill to F-Burg)

Duplex Sleeper ;)

in very good shape on the inside...

came cross country on the back of the Chief in 07' ...   only needed new shoes and a lube job to make the trip from LA....    only burned up 1 shoe that needed replaced in CHi-Town...   and we got that done during the transfer to the Capitol.

AHHHHH...  Good Times... Good Times.

EP

p.s. The 5 year old's mind was BLOWN when the crew told him next time he comes up he can have a cab ride in the 734.   Momma's heart skipped a beat :)  Dad had a smile ear to ear baby!  He immidiietly said yes... meanwhile.. his pretty in pink sister wanted no part of the dirty steam engine.  :)   Boys will be Boys
