Reading boxcar...OK, used to be Reading but in 1977, D&H.  I'm surprised some of you Conrail  :ashat: guys haven't modeled this.

Although too new for me, it would not be that hard to duplicate in N.  All I want is some plain Jane brown 40 ft Reading cats.

D&H got a whole bunch of ex-RDG and EL assets as compensation for the impact of the Conrail merger. Didn't they actually get some trackage in the deal as well?

I'd guess they're retired and getting scrapped. I didn't take the photo.

The main thing D&H got was trackage rights from Sunbury through Enola to DC Pot Yards to provide a competing route from upstate NY and New England to a southern connection.  It was one of the many delights of railfanning Enola in the early 80's.

I recall seeing some of those cars, too...

Was a delight seeing those in Pot Yard also.  Don't know why I never got any photos of them.
