Someone was offering shrunk down versions of the Labatts truck on that auction site, I think it's
the same person in Canada that I bought a 53 Chevy, a 49 Cadillac, and one other resin vehicle
from.  The ones I bought are solid, one piece castings but he did a very nice job painting them.

I appreciate Sylvan's efforts immensely.

I'll be introducing a line of N scale ships in a few months. I've been delayed about six months by the struggle to save the vision in one of Kay's eyes. I think I will not be offering kits, as the hulls and superstructures are built-up styrene, and that will be a problem for many modelers. Aside from a Reliance-class US Coast Guard cutter, the ships will be from the 1940-1970 era, mostly before containers. But I have drawn the computer models for eight ships and built the prototypes.

I have the drawings for a number of colliers, so it's a possibility. How big a collier are you thinking about? I'd be interested because the hull form was converted into ships as different as aircraft carriers and large cutters.

I can build a ship any size, but think anything longer than 500 feet (37.5 inches) will find a very limited market, at least for waterline models intended for railroads. That's why my first ships will be in the 125-210 foot range, as these will fit on smaller layouts. At 125 feet I can cast the hull.

Let me start another thread about my plans. I don't want to hijack this one any more than I already have. I really appreciate what Sylvan has done. I haven't bought anything except small boats from them, and that was years ago. I hope the market will take off for them. I think we'll be in different markets, at different price points.

The Reliance-class fits firmly in that era, no?

I mean, they're (mostly) still operating today, but they were all built in the '60s.

If you ever decide to do something a bit more modern, namely an Island-class, let me know and I'll be first in line.
