Both of these are excellent issues IMHO. 
I like Loren Perry's article in N-Scale "Across the Tracks."  He has liberally incorporated many of the detail parts offered by his company.  It displays a lot of modeling in a rather small area.

Robert Diepenbrock's article "Modeling SP's Daylight GS-3 in NSR caught my eye because I have three of the Kato GS-4's that I have repainted and/or relettered for B&O.   Interesting to note that he acknowledges help from Kato USA.

I liked Loren's article too - its a nice follow-on to his 3 part vehicle series.  Still not sold on the overly rusty N Trak Module, but his explanations were insightful as to how it got that way (i.e. his impressions guiding him vs actual photos).  Not at all sure about the Brazilian RR two parter - but nice to see something un-American in there, as N scale is used a lot more overseas.

And some guy named Weldon poached some really good work from TRW by MC Fujiwara and Chris333 for some whack- column he writes . . . and both of those really deserve individual articles . . . .
