Paint Color on CP Obs Car ?

 :|  Somehow the Maroon Color on the CP Obs Car just doesn't look right in the photo. Now I haven't recieved mine yet to hold in my hot little hands and compair the color to say Rapido's recient CP Coaches,and yes I know the car is not correct ,it would be nice if it was a solarium car like one of the Walthers HO models,but still it is Canadian Pacific. I hope that the sleepers and RPO car eventually get painted in the same scheme so that there will be a complete matching train. Ntae Goodman (Nato). Love that N de M Box Car looks like old TPW scheme.

Cars are always used to carry things they may not have been originally designed to carry or that know one figured they would carry. Woodchip Hoppers carrying trash, Coal Gons and Hoppers carrying old ties. In our perfect modeling world I guess it's PC for every car to carry the commodity it was originally designed for? YEAH RIGHT!

Sometimes boxcars were modified to carry other products.  I cut the round hatches off of an old covered hopper car and glued them to the tops of a couple X28s to use in grain/feed service.  Based this on photos I've seen.
