Who, what when, where....ID these boxcars

I'd be interesting in finding out about that 1985 date. I have some of these in the ABOX scheme (and a boof SCL scheme, I guess), and I really like them. I'd hate to have to remove em from the collection because they disappeared in January of 1985.

CN didn't buy ALL of them from Railbox. There are still ABOX FMC's out there to the present day.

But if you want one re-patched or re-painted for CN, 1985 is the earliest date.

Let me cogitate on that...

A friend of mine dreamed up a mid-80s vintage Abox type paint scheme with a simplified LRV logo on a yellow ribbed car... Could look pretty cool!
