WM ordered their hammerheads fresh from the factory... the PRR ones got sold to the Lehigh Valley, I believe.

I think Bachmann hit this out of the park (again). They've up'd the bar for everyone.

While it's not as detail specific as IM releases or Atlas Master-Line. It sits on par with the "generic" Atlas offerings, the same street price but with a decoder.
(And by generic I mean the GP7/9, SD7/9, RS3 etc)

Bring it down for a test drive.  I want full disclosure before I buy.

I wonder if I can get one cheap from The Favorite Spot on eBay.  I've bought Bachmann steam from him at stupid low prices before, and he specializes in Bachmann.

Not all that interested in the Pennsy paint, but I would love to do a PC/CR patch job on one.

Then again, Ed's blue RS3m in CR is also inspiring.

Yeah, gotta love their 3.99 tender specials. I'm waiting for the newer B-mann to hit $20 on Kleins or The Spot before pulling the trigger.

After you get yours, let me know, I want to do a few more... maybe attempt one with the Dewitt Barn.

Does anyone know where to find a decent photo of the top detail on the HannerHead?

I have my fears that the days of stupid cheap Bachmann stuff is almost over at The Favorite Spot.  He's advertising much fewer stuff items and there's virtually no super cheap deals on steam.  Even his buy-it-now tender prices are more than MBKleins.  He's still auctioning off some heavy mountains and some 2-6-2's that you can get cheap but the 4-6-0's and 2-10-2's are BIN only and, while cheaper than some stores, not the bargain basement prices we've seen before.  I think those prices came from Bachmann dumping excess stock and so far it's not happening.  The new Spectrum GP7's are BIN only and priced higher than both  MBKlein and BLW.

Alwyn, check out Mike Bednar's "LV New York Division" book.  There are some great shots in/around Florence Yard in Bethlehem.  I think there are a few overhead pics in "LV In Color V3" as well.

Also, what's with the all the West Coast roads?  You'd think Bachmann was a division of Kato.

Yup, just like the Piggy Packer.

If people can say something looks good from pictures, then people can say something looks bad as well.

And this looks bad.
