Dealer reservations will begin around the middle of December.  You should start seeing dealer announcements in earnest after January 1.  It will be a short reservation period.  The shipment container is still on schedule to hit the water on January 20, the last day before the month-long Chinese New Year hiatus.  That puts the cars on the dealers' shelves before the end of February.

Lou,

The first release consists of five Pennsylvania cars and three Lehigh Valley cars in the as-built configuration, as depicted in the video.  The details as to what class each car is and what loaders and underframe each car has are on the website.  While they each wear the general scheme of is respective railroad, none of the eight cars are alike.

Will those come without roof walks with high ladders/brake wheel and low ladders/brake wheel?

Great looking car! I look forward to the modern NS version.  To that end, when I try to get product info from the ESM web site, I can only see the bottom portion of the pull-down menu*:



(I assume it's not supposed to look like this.) So I'm still in the dark about future releases...
