Fine Scale Modeler's Expo for 2012

Announcement made that Strasburg, PA  is tentative site for next event.  This year's just concluded at Peabody, Mass, so F&SM was on the program.

This event historically doesn't do much in N, so maybe for the upcoming one, being as so many of our members are within hailing distance, there can be N entries for the contests. Mke them uncomfortable anyway.  DKS, this could be your time to really make the "big boys" take notice of what can be done in the smaller scales.

Did they say where in Starssburg?

I am headed up there next weekend for a swap meet at the firehouse. I can't imagine having a con there though.

The coordinator is visiting the suggested site this week and will be announcing details shortly per his post on Model Railroad Forum.

Guess from me: Strasburg Inn. Looks large enough from the highway to have sufficient meeting spaces.

Lancaster, about 10 highway miles northwest of Strasburg, is the home city for a couple of gaming conventions. There's plenty of hotel space (and restaurants, and outlet shopping) there.

The Expo may be "in Strasburg" the same way all the Arlington, VA anime conventions are "in Washington DC." :)

Show manager still saying "Strasburg" in his post. Looking at three sites.

But Zox may be correct that loose geography is applied for the location. After all, the N show in "Hershey" was not exactly there, was it?

It says it's going to be at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center, in Lancaster.
