The software actually is supposed automaticly adjust to 800px if your screen dictates it. Actually people should post larger photos so those with larger monitors get the ability to get the bigger stuff. The software should adjust for those of you with smaller screens or resolutions.

Thanks Ian , I corrected it to a more basic WUD without those size directions .

I made a little proof-of-concept mechanism. The challenge was to design a way of powering an accurately-scaled GE 25 ton switcher in Z Scale.

It is possible, albeit not very practical...

You can see the shell here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/308580/ge25t_locomotive___z_scale.html?gid=sg4375

Needed a little selective compression, but I made sure I didn't cut down on the size of the beers...

The arms are scratchbuilt:

The wheels came from an Athearn HO Ford panel van.

I assume the bucket and arms are GHQ? Where'd the wheels come from? Thats a great upgrade I'd like to try that myself.

Thanks,
The S.

I finished converting a Con Cor Auto rack using the N scale Kits floor, NSN side panels, KCS and other decals, Atlas trucks, FVM wheels, and MT body mount couplers:

No pics, but I finished installing my phone system around my layout for operations (similar to the system that was in the last N Scale Railroading).  Dispatcher is now located in another room from the layout as well.  Seems to work well from my testing.

Nate

I'm ready to test!  ;D

Notice that there is only 2 people that have decided to focus all their attentions to what is at hand and not the birdie .

Nice I'll have to give it a whirl in the upcoming weeks.

Cottage projects... those little "doo dad" projects you can pack up and bring to the cottage to do whilst the youngin's splash about in the water and your host takes the girls for a boat ride.....

A "Depots by John" Milwuakee Road D 1 portable depot.... assembled, painted and some weathering done - more work to do on the roof, stove stack, platform and train order stand...

A "mainline over pass"... this will carry the CPR mains over the entrance to Stratton Brewing; I'm pre assembling it to "drop in" when the new section takes shape....

Between those little time wasters and consuming a significant amount of BBQ's treats and perhaps an adult beverage or two the weekend was quite nice.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Started the spline roadbed test section. Not 100% sure if its going to work in one area. When I get further along I will post some pics.
