Kato has also hit the $120 price point with this one.  Oops, I didn't know that SD70Ace #4141 was already priced that high.

I almost want to get these and deviate from my 85 theme. If only the Amfleet set had been available without a locomotive...

What?!  Granted, it looks better than the recent paint schemes on a P42, but it's still uglier than an F40PH.

Amtrak overload from Kato this year, a second run of the intercity set and add on, plus a Superliners set and a complete started set.

The heritage P42 is cool, $120 MSRP is the same price as the GW Ace and GE Demo.

I keep putting off getting one or more of the "3 car sets" and an extra baggage car.  I have no need for the Viewliners and have a Dash 8 to run a Surfliner.  Occasionally it's seen with a "cabbage" on one end and a "big dome" headed up through San Luis Obispo, but I caught one with Heritage and Amfleets with P32s on either end last summer.

They are coming at some point.  So are the earlier paint schemes.  Another Phase-IV release means more time to save some pennies.

Anyone wonder if Kato calls up Amtrak and says " hey; could you guys make a change to your paint scheme this quarter; we're a little light on revenue and we need to schedule another limited Amtrak release......." ;D
