Quite a mess there, John. You can see the tail-light end of the trailer under the locomotive... custom by crunch, as they say.

Be warned. I'm not sure if she is still there or not, but I had a busy body woman call the police on me for railfanning at that spot back in 2005. The Baltimore Cop who showed up was a real jerk too! I haven't been back since, but instead go to the relative safety of the MARC station around the corner.

Haha, I guess she thought you were a terrorist ...

Thanks for the warning.

Oddly enough, there was a strong police presence at St Denis on thursday - enough so that the onsite railfans were talking about it.

Not unusual for the CSX police to hang out there.  Sometime 2 or 3 at a time.  Sometimes the locals got there to but usually just drive around and wave.  As for Charlie, he expects us to provide him the donuts.

I wish someone would to put those cabs back with the bodies of the GP40FH2s, and the V20 645s and flexicoils back together (cabs and the GP40FH2 bodies are from ex-bn F45s)
Vincent

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

No Flexicoils on these babies ... (GP40WH-2)

BTW, the challenge was the number board!  ;)

It was a Heritage Unit day in Alexandria today as 3 of the Amtrak units were on various trains on the RF&P. Lots of new VRE MP36PH-3C power around and of course the Blue Unit circus train went through at 10MPH allowing me to photograph every single car in the train.  ;D Hopefully I can get some of the Heritage units posted for next Thursday before I head to Detroit and Las Vegas.

I meant take the cabs of a GP40WH-2 and the bodies of a GP40FH2 and put them back together on the SD45/F45 frame they were. I don't recall if the MRL F45s are of BN or GN decent.
