Better to stay off of MY corner though, Pud.What is a Gardern track? Is that like a Goshdern track without all the frills? David B
I will probably get a Santa Fe only problem though is on N scale supply the MTL description says painted brown!! ??? I thought ATSF hoppers are oxide red. Are they doing the same thing with Santa Fe that they do with their Conrail cars! Why do they always use brown!!

It's the mis spelled version of "Garden track"... a small "yard" right beside the station and platform that often hosted sleepers awaiting use and visiting sleepers of foreign roads that are on charters and have their passengers at local resorts.... very nice way to spend a lot of money.....nice work if ya can get it.............
Of course, Pud, just pulling your chain.I am quite familiar with the old Garden tracks.....quick story......I made a Freemo modual of Lake Louise in HO and, of course, modeled the G tracks. One morning at a large Freemo setup (Big Valley Alberta) I woke up and entered the hockey arena after a cold nights sleep in my tent (that year we only had 600 feet of layout in the arena) and someone parked a Santa Fe wrecking train in my G tracks and spotted my Heavyweights on yard track 3.........I bet my customers would have been shocked to find they had to cross 5 tracks to get to their promised breakfast!David B
Yike.................."oh Muffy.... how in the name of the Chase Manhattan Bank do we get across those iron bars and wooden thingys to get to the taxi.... my tee off time is fast approaching and you know that Chas, Flippy and Boz hate it if I'm late.............quickly, call Charles and have him carry me across will you now poochie......?"
