Sound Decoder for FVM Hiawatha

I received a mass email from Con-Cor and they mentioned that they would install a sound decoder "with proper speaker" in  FVM Hiawathas that they sell (I don't have one on order from them) for $64.95.  They list the part number as #0001-006010.

I checked Soundtraxx, Digitrax, LokSound and MRC and don't find any such part number.  For $64.95 the only likely candidate is MRC since all the others (particularly LokSound) are far more expensive.

Anybody have a clue what sound decoder they may be talking about?

Actually, I think the MRC is more expensive than that now. I am guessing it is a Digitrax as they retail for $49.99. An oval speaker would add another $5-10 to it and using the Digitrax allows them to create and upload a specific sound file for the Hiawatha.

Good call--I think you've got it.  Have to wait and see what speaker will be the best fit.

              I was surfing Con Cor's site last night after recieving a monthly E Flyer from them. The decoders are digitrax. They are also offering decoders for their Arrow Train, Zephyr, and M1000.The twin headlight Zephyr will have a digitrax module to control the Mars Light,but the train has been much delayed because of bankrupcy of their Chinese manufacturer.Nate Goodman (Nato).
