Wow those Milw GP20's look great. How did you do the air filters? Are the brass etchings available somewhere? Who made the all weather windows? I need a fleet of these and SD10's too.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I could show anyone how to do this in 30 minutes. It is just static grass, fine ground foams, taking time to build some nicer trees and not a lot else (dontchaknow) <-- made me laugh Lee. I'll leave the wood chipper at home (Fargo is a long way from Chicago anyway...).

Here are a couple more "for fun" photos. I need to sand down the road edges a bit, as I just had to touch them up again from all the people that come up at shows touching and rubbing them to see what they feel like.







I tweaked saturation, removed the same two lens dust spots from the sky that I get all the time, added a slight vignette, reduced the size and sharpened these up a bit in Photoshop. Otherwise these are how they came out of the Nikon 300S with a standard 18-70mm kit lens. I used a light off to the side to create the low sunlight and that is just drywall in the background.

they are scratchbuilt out of a MMW (Mocaloca Model Works - out of business ?) Horst "Yoke" Style Air Filter and some styrene...

Are the brass etchings available somewhere?

I don't know if they are still available, another forum member may have to say more about them...

they are from GMM Gold Medal Models, part # 160-61

I need a fleet of these

Atlas GP7 or GP9 is a good start, plus the GMM GP conversion kit (part #160-40), plus the cab front, plus some Sunrise, GMM and BLMA detail parts and you are nearly there...

the fans on the rear engine are from a LifeLike GP20 shell...

Agreed. Only way to improve them, I think, is to use Helicon Focus.
