HO layout of Moffat

I like to show you some pics about my HO layout, little (2.40m x 2.50m) but funny!

When I went to Moffat Pass I fell in love with that line so my layout is based on that location. This is a fantasy layout, but some parts are very similar to the prototype, for example the tunnel portal or the rocky tunnel.
The line, after a steep grade, goes thru Danyville, a small town with industrial tracks: here the switching operations are very interesting! Then inside the tunnel, the tracks goes downhill hidden from the view to return at the starting point, with the possibility of a small staging yard for five trains enough long to be realistic.

The era is modern and I like to run UP, BNSF and Amtrak (like on the Moffat), plus some exeptions like run-thru power or extra trains just for my pleasure (Metrolink trains or similar....).

The layout is full analog and has two powerpacks to operate the loop of the industrial track without problems. All rocks are made with paper (broken paper into water+vinil glue), all the rest is by Woodland Scenics. Some structures are from Walthers, some are home-made (the wood gazebo for railfans in the park and the cement plan).

Hope you enjoy it, let me know!
