How many paint schemes did the caboose that FVM is doing have?

I believe that there were only two and that they later went to BN for the same power plant service.  The cabs were built by Thrall and match the gondolas in length so that the car detection system at the power plant they were assigned to could detect the cab without difficulties coming into play.  Things weren't so nich back in the 70s... my how things have changed!!!

Just to clarify this thread a bit, the coal service caboose is from Traincat and reconfirmed with him this weekend. The FVM ribside is the most common version of this design. As for paint schemes, from memory the caboose is either orange with a black roof or orange sides and (maybe?) yellow ends. The lettering and numbering varies from the as built maroon Milwaukee Road letterboard and 01800 series numbers, to just a herald on the side with 01800, then 991800.  There are also some oddball MOW schemes, a Soo Line bandit, and I think a Wisconsin Central scheme. A couple of shortlines used these as well including one from the Quad Cities (DRI&???) and Idaho.

Again, this is just from memory.

Any updates on when we're getting the Hiawatha? Great new cars for it, but it hasnt even hit the market yet. When I checked the website last night the only thing I could find on the release was July 2010, talk about a late train!

Matt said the final "proof" copy is waiting at home for him to OK then about 6 weeks--I assume to him.  Add a few more to ship to distributors/dealers.  When I asked "Just after the first of the year?" he said, "Right."

Based on doing this in two scales from the ground up (with the HO version being for sale all over Trainfest) I think FVM has done quite well compared to how far off other manufacturers' projected release dates have been.
