I still think you could cast it with an insert so you don't have hollow it out afterwards.  You have a mill right?  Have you ever looked at just clearing material above the truck towers to make room for a normal worm?  Shouldn't be too hard to clamp it level upside down and run an end mill through there, yeah?

Am I the only one here that thinks you can cast the shell and then just hollow it out afterward?   ;)

At best, your retirement home will maybe have an HO layout so it wouldn't do you any good.
