I'll agree that JTT trees are good for commercial products, but I've compared them side-by-side with SAMtrees, and I believe SAMtrees are a tad better. For one thing, SAMtrees are made to order, and you can order many of them with your choice of foliage color.

We have similar pine barrens like the ones Dave posted in NH, but its all Pitch Pine. They burn a section of the one in Ossipee/Madison every year (total acreage is 2200)
