While I've been all oiled up lately I did manage to catch a few trains down da bayou:

I starter here (old SSW/Cotton Belt interchange about 5 minutes from our COmmand Post) and ran down this L&D Geep (clearly an ex-IC Paducah rebuild based on the Horchst air filter):

I also saw this box car, which appeared Tom Mann-worthy:

Days later, I caught this two locomotive deadhead move across the Rigolets Bridge:

Bob,

I always love when you post your Alexandria, Virginia pictures.  Is that a 44-tonner in the picture above?  If so, whose?  Would that be a switcher for the Fruit Growers Express plant?   Perhaps owned by FGE?  There's an excuse for me to buy a 44-tonner!  Anybody got a clear view of this locomotive?

Yes, that's a FGE loco.  Don't know what type but definitely smaller than a 55 tonner.  Here's another photo of it (kinda blurred).

Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.  Silver with speedlettering looked better.

Piney Grove Road, near Arcadia on the Dutch Line.

i HATE that intersection.  hate it.  URGHHHHH.  they put a stop on the main road because a school bus comes in from th left and they don't want it getting hit by a train.  MSP sits the hill behind Lee and writes tickets ALL DAY.  you have been warned.

Actually, that's my single favorite stretch of road in all of MD.  The meadow off to the left, out of view, defines bucolic.  The stop sign gives you an excuse to enjoy it.  The tracks are icing.

but the truck that is about to nail you from behind as it pops over the hill is not so much fun.

you need to drive to American Corner on the eastern shore - that's bucolic.

I have a not that interesting video of Boston's least photographed freight train... Basically it's just them swapping empties at 1am, but I'm glad I finally got to see it, having lived 3 miles away for 17 years.

if you can't conduct yourself, conduct freight

I've been to American Corner.  Desolate is a better word.
