Nice, but I always prefer something without Chessie the Knife's filthy paws all over it (B&O Series numbers on the F units)...

Plus the boys at Hagerstown and Elkins wouldn't let a locomotive ever leave the terminal looking like that.

This is more like it!

Gotta love those front ends.

A clean kitty wasn't too bad.

I've always liked the Chessie scheme too, but of course, I didn't have them eat up my favorite railroad. Oh wait ...

Never understood the appeal of that scheme. Given the colors and the font, the railroad had the wrong name.

That paint scheme is so wrong in so many ways. Blech.

How they took 3 railroads with classy paint schemes, combined them, and conjured up that horror is beyond me.
Just say no to dummy couplers.

Not sure why, but it brings to mind this classic...

The Chessie scheme looks great against a nice green mountain backdrop.

Works for me. A little weathering doesn't hurt either.

The paint job that doesn't move me at all are the simple C&O and B&O they adopted in the 1960s. That was blah.
