It went out to Cumberland and back.
Check out my website (listed under the web tag) for railfanning pictures from 32 states, D.C., and Ontario. Current locomotive count: 5772!

What's pulling it these days?  Do they still have those F40PH's?  I know they ditched the old Seaboard F units a while ago...

The F40PH's were on point the other day.  They actually look sort of good in that dark blue scheme.

Meh.  I liked the Bright Future look on the F-units much better.  It didn't look bad on the F40's, either.

I've realized that CSX has real issues with logo sizing on equipment. Whoever does their design work just doesn't "get it".

The tiny little CSX on the big yellow noses of their 70s look absolutely dumb, and on these flagship units, it should be a good big bigger, or smaller. As it is, it looks like someone just copy-pasted it in MS word...

also, notice how they don't line up on the two units?

Is it any surprise that people think CSX is a 3rd world RR?

I bet the emblems line up on each side. It looks like there is a graphic of some kind (probably a warning label) that they couldn't paint over on the right side of the engine. I agree on the ugliness though, that looks like the kind of paint scheme someone doing a first time freelanced railroad would come up with or a start-up commuter line,

Here is another shot from the other side taken around the same time.  Notice that CSX lines up on this side.
