Got more wood for a couple more wall sections cut, nothing put together yet though. Hopefully I can have the one side completed by this weekend,

No pictures this week, will get some up sometime, but I added a working headlight to my 2-8-2T. set up a figure 8 of unitrack on the kitchen table (wife was in the field the last 3 weeks) and was able to properly break in a few steamers, including a MP 4-4-0, MP 4-6-2, B-Mann Lt Mt, and my 2-6-6-2. got to run some older stuff too, funny thing, my 2-6-6-2 would haul 19 and a caboose around the 8 without problems, lots of throttle control, and use of slack action to get it moving. Now the funny thing is my 2-8-2t and my climaxes will pull the train, from a stop, no slipping and ask for more. I have built 4 locomotives that pull better than a manufactured locomotive.  :o ::) :o

My evil plan lurched into high gear this afternoon...

I summonsed Andrew, and told him that he would be the beneficiary of an afternoon of room cleaning and furniture moving...

And so we began...  He loaded up his junk, we moved around some furniture, and shuffled all the stored crap from the other side of the attic to make room for his room...

A few hours later, we had mucked out 3 large bags of trash, and got everything into place.  He now has plenty of room, a TV for his Wii, and the air hockey table will be back in service, once I fix the switch.

So... where did all the other crap end up?... I hear you ask...

AaaaAAAAUUGgghggghhhhhh!...  But not to worry... this is all part of my plan...  Afterall, no pain...

No gain!  (Andy's former part of the room, soon to be home to the Laurel Valley back shops...and who knows... maybe someday, the Laurel Valley itself!  Bwahahaha!)

Got construction done on one of the New Haven turtlebacks.  Just need paint, decals, glass and ALM diaphragms.

I'm still waiting on my decals for the tank cars. It could be a few weeks. In the mean time I started building a fleet of Conrail X72 boxcars from the old Life-Like models. I didn't do too much to them, i flattened the weld lines a bit and filed the end steps thinner.

I watched paint dry!  No seriously I managed to complete painting the raw scenery on the refinery section, so now scenerya pplication can begin with sanded grout, then ground foam, the foliage clusters . . .

All of which got put off bu about 6 hours of railfanning at St. Denis yesterday with Bob Bufkin and the Irregular Regulars.

Spent Saturday in Dunsmuir for Train Days and got to see some nice equipment sent up from the Western Pacific Museum.  Spent a few hours at Bruce Petty's house with his Burbank Junction Layout (HO Scale) for some inspiration...he even shared with me where he gets his "Special" dirt and came back with a few jars of the stuff for my layout.  Got some laser work done for Tom and cut the core parts for my SP Type 22 Station with the extension like the one at Lemon Cove Ca.  Will be camped out on the laser the rest of the week so I can get the Care Package sent off asap.  Also got a few Heavyweights base painted for some Central Valley Ca business and started repainting a Wheels of Time Baggage car for my local.

Just another day at the office, eh Ian?

I moved to a new department two weeks ago (more money, better bennys, same job, few miles closer to home) and it has been a very busy two weeks. I went to a typical sized NH PD (10-15 guys) and a town that has a population of typical NH size ~5000 residents. It is a vacation town however at the beginning of the White Mountain region and explodes to about 30,000 residents in the summer and then we have all the through traffic going to Conway. And its readily apparent that summer has started, and Bike Week started this past Friday.

I assume the guy is in the lock-up now .

Not yet. I have felony warrants for him and his buddy. They took off and ditched the car down a old logging road. We spent 6hrs in the woods searching this with the dogs;
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=pollys+crossing,+ossipee+nh&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=32.197599,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Pollys+Crossing,+New+Hampshire&ll=43.717985,-71.136432&spn=0.01433,0.054932&t=h&z=15

We know who they are so now the hunt is on.

Thing is it was only an underage party and the beer hadn't even got there yet, so everyone would have got sent home (the first 6 truck loads of kids were just moved along and sent on their way) but dee dee dee here decided to kick it up to a 9 count felony charge LOL!  ::) :P
