I can't believe nobodys said
SW1500s!
And 1000s and 1001s.

Tell it!

Oh, and Alco switchers.  And a 4-6-0.  And Wason coaches.  And a new release of SD40s, SD40-2s, and SD40T-2s, all as models that don't suck.  And the Sunrise Models line.  I'd like to see that return.  Hell, while I'm dreaming, some more logging locomotives.

A quality/good running SD40T-2

Yes, please!!!

NOT
a single SD40T-2 but available by the dozen in correct SP cab/body/subbase/frame/fueltank and applicable details, paint is optional...

A correct SD40T-2 could cause my current fascination with modern to immediately fade away...

Structures:  More variety in modular kits.  The Walthers set is a nice addition to the field, but it represents more or less the same vintage architecture as the old DPM sets.  How about some Butler Buildings, or 1950's-60's curtain wall construction?

Locomotives:  Said before and I'll say it again.  Alco S-series switchers.  Need a phase 2 F-7, too (48" dynamic fan, vertical louver grills, etc.  I'll even suggest Baldwin road switchers, even though no one would buy them (very prototypical!)

Rolling Stock:  Massively upgraded NE steel caboose, new runs of MDC hoppers in WM.

Details, misc:  large banks of industrial windows, realistically sized lumber stacks.

That's all I can think of...

A readily available SD40-2 in multiple liveries and road specific (yes FVM would be great)
A readily available SD45 in multiple liveries and road specific
SD70M-2
SW1500

And a ton of other stuff I'll think of as soon as I hit 'post' ........

Cheers,

Kev

Comet commuter cars in N scale and HO scale, similar to what Atlas makes for the O scale folks.

Alco switchers and a 4-6-0.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

This subject comes up quite often on various forums and i always say the same thing - Alco switchers, Baldwin road switchers and centercabs for transition era modelers.  EMD SW-1500, SD-45 (a good one), better SD0-40's, 6 truck U-boats for the 70's to 80's crowd.  Modern locos seem to be well covered today and that's a good thing.  Still waiting for more heavyweight passenger cars (I know there coming but I ain't getting any younger).

Since the SW1500 has been covered, I will add the B36-7 in Seaboard System colors (early CSX modelers may want these in SBD or CSX paint, too), and I also want Seaboard Coast Line U36B #1776 in its bicentennial paint scheme.

SW1500s and AEM-7s, I agree with Lee on a little more variety in buildings would be nice, and to scale ground throws. I know people think the AEM-7 is a niche loco, but if you look at American electrics, we have the GG1 and E60 from the 70s Amtrak (and earlier) and the HHP-8 and Acela locos from modern (as well as resins of others), but nothing in between,

That rubber bin car is pretty HAWT.  Was it built for that purpose, or is it a convert?
