Flat Black that isn't ?

I have now purchased two pots of Badger Model Flex Flat Black (16-119) that appears to be their Weathered Black. It is clearly not flat back. The pots were bought two months apart and 100's of miles away; yet both are identical to the Weathered Black I have ? Is it possible an entire shipment was mislabeled ? Has anyone else seen this ?  ???

The hard part is - actually need flat black for touch ups and can't find any....grrrrrrrrrrrr >:( >:(

I get the cheap craft acrylics at Walmart, and use it with alarming regularity...  to touch up dings and scratches, I simply thin it down to the consistency of a wash, then apply it in layers until it covers whatever I'm covering.  Once covered with dullcote, and maybe another thin wash of weathering, it's virtually undetectable.

It happens.  Back years ago when I worked in a hobby shop we had a batch of mislabeled Model Flex, and a batch that didn't even receive labels.

On the plus side , you have enough black now to make gallon of radiator fan and grill wash .

How about using Tamiya Flat black? That's what I use.

If I am brushing it, I thin it quite a bit then it's good. Try thinning it with either tamiya acrylic thinner or Isopropyl Alcohol if it's acrylic.

Use the hardcore Floquil, it drys flat.
