MLE Scale Models is pleased to announce our very first locomotive detail part; a 3 Pane All-Weather Window kit. These windows are supplied as a flat metal etchings that the modeler will need to fold and paint (if desired). There are three windows per kit; two are orientated one way and one the other way. These are extremely fine scale and are very easy to fold! Window glazing is not included. Intended for ages 14 and up. Available in both N and HO scale.

Very cool, Russ. Super job.

I don't know right away if there's anything in my fleet that had 'em, but rest assured I'm looking!

Cool. Gotta compare these to the JNJ ones I have, and off the top of my hand I can't remember how many panes are on the N&W ones. 8)

Glad to see you put that out in N.  Looks really good!

I'll have to get some for my CP run-through power.

Sorry Russ, I could not resist! Looks real good. BTW, thanks for the hitch and I made the mods to design them in.

How close would these be to the ones Milwaukee Road used? They look very nice!

Probably
is far more accurate for Checker's or Popeyes around the SouthEast.  Mostly in LA you got the centre butterfly door and that is what I'm looking for.  I'm probably going to use two of the windows to cut the free standing butterfly doors from the centre window.  Bent with the relief etched side in I'm hoping for a reasonable prototype look without resorting to signifigant scratchbuilding...

Thanks, guys! ;D

These weren't designed with fast food windows in mind, but that is certainly one way to put them to good use! ;)

Sorry, Catt. Only HO and N scale.

How close would these be to the ones Milwaukee Road used? They look very nice!

A quick scan through some photos seems to indicate the Milwaukee Road primarily used 2 pane AWW's. There could very well have been exceptions, however.

Thanks, TrainCat.

Can't wait to see the finished product....er...in reference to the new car in the last part of your post, that is!  :-X
