Kinda Neat, BNSF's Rail Welding & Loading Facility

I was looking at Bing after seeing Andrew's water tower on A-Board and saw this.

Could be a really neat facility to add next to a yard.

   On a N.R.H.S. National Railway Historical Society Convention with my dad in the early 1990's we got tour the Conrail "Luckanow" (spell check name) rail welding facilityat Conway Yard. Yes very impressive and a neat model could be built,but it takes up alot of space unless you selectively compress it.               Nate Goodman (Nato).

I make it up to that facility about once a year (trying to count inventory on rail-feet is not fun).  It'll probably be a while before I get up there again, but I'll try to get photos the next time that I am if people are interested.

Lucknow was actually located in Harrisburg (Conway is out near Pittsburgh).

   Well it must be my 63 years young memory, we did also got to tour a hump yard (was this conway?) and see cars going over the top. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Sounds like Conway.

Enola (right across the river from Conway) had a hump too at various points in its history (like now).
