When do you think we"ll see the Fast Tracks jig?  That is pretty sweet!

using a Fast Tracks jig is not the same as hand laid.  it has been almost 20 years since i've hand laid a turnout.  i think i'll pickup some rail, ties, and the all important hand vise this weekend and give it a go.

Come over to my place. I'm handlaying all my track. I could use some help.  Pushing 4 spikes per tie is giving me a sore elbow.

i'm free this weekend. the trick is to use man-hand sized pliers.  seusscaboose has seen my pliers (not code)

I have two pliers I use. One is a special item from Xuron. The other is a homemade mod of a set of needle noses.  I'll be home Sat and Sunday if you want to come down and push spikes.

decided to do some backpacking instead.  doing 20 miles on the AT - nice and cold.

i enjoy the cold more than i endure the mosquitoes.  i'm available Jan 10th to come and bust my elbow ;)
