Sharing the design cost of a new model has been going on for awhile and will continue to do so. Get used to it, it maybe the only way some of these models gets done. It doesn't take away from the quality of a project. Conspiracy theory is such a waste of energy.

Serrioulsy, you need to let it go you sound like you have a personal stake on a product that has yet to be release. If its great which it seems to be, cool we all benefit by having another supplier for locos. Some good nature ribbing does not hurt, just look at how much MT, Kato and sometimes even Atlas get. IM had earn there thanks to there SD.

I don't know about IM doing a GEVO, but the drawing in there announcement look eerily similar to those use by FVM.

Now that's funny. Truth is we all have a stake in a successful model and successful FVM, same with the other new guys. If for no other reason than to keep the legacy companies on their toes and maybe even helping a couple with wayward product and marketing teams find their path again.

It's like the nexus of the entire model railroading industry...  It certainly explains why so much of the artwork you see looks like it came from the same place.

That's Stephen Priest out of Kansas City.  He does do a lot of the artwork for various companies (the factory uses the artwork to develop the masking for painting and printing plates).  IMRC used him back when I worked there for locomotives and other rolling stock.  IMRC also had an in house person doing artwork.  She did a good job and when we needed something corrected she could do it immediately, the benefit of having someone right down the hall.
