Decent MOW cart wheels wanted

They don't even have to roll , just look like wheels with a tread width more prototypical of what a small diameter wheel would be . I wonder if that Clejan Car transporters guide rail wheels would be good .

Yeah , good call , I have that set , but like Z scale wheels they are Un-Spoken but not that bad .

Depends on what you are looking for, and what to use them on. You maybe able to turn some from brass or styrene rod.

Most common sizes were 16" and 20" wheels. The two largest manufactures are/were Harsco, Tamper and Fairmont

Motorcars generally used pressed steel wheels in 14" and 16" size. MT19's through A5's had 16" wheels, M14's generally did as well. Some A4's and A5's had pressed or cast 20" wheels. A6's, A7's and A's had cast 20". Lorry carts had pressed 16". Gandy cranes had 16" pressed...despite their excessive weight.

Small carts and push spikers, push spike removers generally had 6" cast.

Switch tampers, tie handlers, tie inserters, brush mowers, spikers, spike pullers, ballast regulators have 20" cast.

Something along these lines would lend themselves to many home-brewed MOW mini things I think . They almost look like flanged brake wheels . just don't want some super wide wheel tread that will make them look goofy . They could be plastic or white metal , but some manufacturer could make a buck or two having these as a staple if they looked good and not like an afterthought .

I have no idea how big MOW cart wheels are but the 2mm Association has spoked wheels that are 6mm in diameter - these may well be too big?

How  big are Z scale wheels? or even T gauge wheels ? You could use a normal metal disc wheel and etch a speeder type disc out of .005" brass sheet and affix it to the front face of the usual metal disc wheel.
How would that work? You would get the correct effect without all the drama of trying to make spoked wheels from scratch.

ME push cart wheels look crude , but the GHQ,s Speeder wheels look much better .

Has anybody made the GHQ speeder and how crisp and true were the wheels out of the box ?

Z scale wheels are too big, and besides, they look like freight car wheels instead of MOW wheels. T Gauge wheels are about the right size, but they're crude, and close to impossible to purchase separately.

I have in the past re-axled Z wheels for N MOW . Interesting thought on an etched face added . I don't have any experience in etching or the equipment and the smarts to do the drawing or whatever to make the etching . But you just may have given me an idea . A N scale brake wheel applied to a Z wheel face re-gauged to N scale . It wouldn't be see through but with a black back ground=d the yellow or rusty spoke should give the illusion of those spoked wheels . The limitless supply of both the Z wheels and N brake wheels make this ideal Kiwi . I must attempt this , Thanks .
