I just noticed that Bluford Shops have posted pre-production shots of the forthcoming 70 ton hoppers. They look pretty sweet. The coal loads look nice as well.

They look really nice, and certainly agree with the body mounted coupler... about time. I'm wondering how quickly complaints will start regarding the ease of inadvertent hosebag removal?

WOW. Looking forward to CRR and WM (hopefully). 8)

I have to dissent on the coal loads, if the ones in the pix are what they are gonna use - they look a bit too flat.

Oh man!  Those look great!  And I like the loads, too.

Again, the wallet will be taking a BIG hit on these puppies.

Didn't Bessemer have the offset sides in a brown color?  Didn't they have some funky-looking trucks, too?

They look very good. Patiently waiting for some earlier paint schemes (40's - 50's B&O Specifically).

Or I can live with the CC and Roundhouse cars for 1/3 of the price until they decide to produce something for the non-RTR crowd.

Crowd? I think you guys could all fit in the same booth at a typical diner. :)  Sadly, you are a rare breed.
The Undec 86' boxcars should be coming in during January. As for the hoppers, there is a small delemma. The detail parts are extremely small and a challenge to handle so for that reason, you would likely want the Undec hoppers assembled. However, that makes the area under the slope sheets difficult to paint. So when the first runs come out in early Spring, have a look at one. Then you and the rest of the non-RTR booth can vote for whether the Undecs will be factory assembled or have the details on sprues under the cradle. We're happy to do them either (sorry, but not both) way.
